Get Money to Improve Your Home

You could be eligible to improve your home with the LiveSmart BC program. The program is meant to help British Columbians make green choices that save money at home, at work and on the road. Livesmart BC offers rebates to homeowners who decide to make their home energy efficient. The program started in 2008 and since then has helped over 100 000 Vancouver homeowners to become more energy efficient.LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program Hi-lights

• Since the program was launched in 2008, LiveSmart has invested $110 million to help Vancouver homeowners save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• Collectively, CEAs in BC have conducted assessments for more than 100,000 participants.
• The average program participant now saves approximately 20-30 per cent on their energy bills as a result of your recommendations and the upgrades they completed

There have been some recent changes to the program (As of Apr. 1 2013): More people and companies are getting involved with Live Smart BC. The new incentives are funded solely by BC Hydro, Fortis Gas and Fortis Electric. LiveSmart BC will continue to provide the $150 subsidy to homeowners who have a pre-retrofit assessment through a Certified Energy Advisor.
